3 Day "Cast & Blast" Fishing and Chukar Hunting
Love to Fish? Love to
Bird Hunt? Come to Hells Canyon for the ultimate
sportsman's adventure. The wild Chukar (Himalayan Partridge) in
there preferred environment are a rewarding challenge for the
most avid bird hunter. As we float the Snake River in the bottom
of this spectacular canyon, casting to Rainbow Trout and Small
Mouth Bass we will be listening for the cackle of the Chukar at
river's edge. Finish releasing your Rainbow, grab your shotgun
as the guide maneuvers you into position, you can imagine the
rest. At
the camp that was set up earlier that day we will set the Sturgeon rod
for the 8' to 10' monsters. After feasting on that nights meal you can
either relax in the beauty of the canyon or pick up your fishing rod for
the evening hatch on the Snake or one of it's many tributaries. Don't forget
about the Steelhead just in from the Pacific. If you are getting
bored with all the fish, take the dog on a hunt for a few
Chukar.
We
launch this trip from the heart of Hell's Canyon at Pittsburgh
Landing a short drive
from your motel in
Riggins. After the guides make a few adjustments with the gear
your on the river and catching fish and listening for Chukar.
You will float approximately 10 miles a day except for the last
day where just a short float to the confluence of the Salmon
River where the Steelhead (ocean run Rainbow) will be
waiting. A Jet Boat will pick you up at the confluence and take
you on an exhilarating ride back to Pittsburgh Landing.

4 Day "Fishing" and Whitewater
expedition

possibilities, with some of the best whitewater found in the
Pacific Northwest along with world-class fishing for many
different species in the wilderness of Hells Canyon full of
storied mountain men and Indian history. Unlike our "Cast
& Blast" trips you will be taken to the South entrance where not
only will the fishing give you a thrill but rapids like Wild
Sheep and Granite will await. This is truly an outdoor adventure

6 Day "Fishing" and
Whitewater expedition
This trip includes everything the
4 day expedition has with an addition 25 miles of spectacular scenery
and of course more great fishing and adventure. At the end of
your raft trip you will board a jet boat for an exhilarating
ride back to Pittsburgh Landing. This less crowded section of
the river will give everyone a sense of wilderness and
adventure, you will see the confluence of the Imnaha and Salmon
River.

3 Day "Fly Fishing" expedition
Looking for world
class fishing and wilderness adventure vacation rapped in one?
Mountain River Outfitters has put this trip together just for
the fly fishing addicts looking for the ultimate vacation
catered just for them. Experienced Fly fishing guides will
not only get you to the fish and safely navigate the powerful
Snake River but can give instruction for the novice.
2 fisherman per raft front and back with plenty of room for
both. Cast for Small Mouth Bass with hoppers and large
dries or strip a streamer for
Rainbow Trout as you drift through the Canyon. Fish from shore
at camp where the guides will be
cooking a delicious Dutch Oven meal. Sturgeon rods can be
set at camp in the morning and evening maybe during lunch.
Steelhead just in from the ocean and Columbia River will be
waiting at the Imnaha and Salmon River confluences on your final
day.
