4 Day Snake River Fly-Fishing in Hells Canyon, Bass, Trout and Sturgeon

Dry fly fishing for Small Mouth Bass in the Idaho Wilderness.  Watch Bass come from 5 feet under your dry fly and expode out of the water, over 50 bass per day is average and 100 fish days are not uncommon.  How about floating through the deepest canyon in North America, gazing at spectacular scenery, wildlife, run a little whitewater, great Dutch Oven cooking and gourmet meals.  Fish for Rainbow trout in the riffles and in the tributaries while fishing from a custom raft and fly fishing frame as your guide puts you in front of your fish of choice.  The Small Mouth Bass are everywhere and will amaze the most avid fly fisherman with their tenacity. 

Your arsenal should include an array of dry flies mostly large attractors (stimulators, hoppers, flying ant, etc.) large streamers are always a good choice for bass.  Floating line can be used for all species most of the time although a sink tip is a good idea to bring along.  If some in your group are not as skilled with a fly rod we will have spinning rods available with all tackle.  The sturgeon rods will be set at camp and even at lunch if the group is up for pulling in a few of these monsters averaging 6 to 8 feet.

The camp will be ready for you when your ready to kick back for some evening refreshments and relaxing.  We pride ourselves in our backcountry accommodations and attention to detail.  Many clients prefer to put up the fly rod and play a few games of Horseshoes or maybe hike up a side canyon for some pictures of the magnificent Snake River Wilderness.

Let our experienced guides help you catch these Ocean Run Rainbows, a rewarding adventure for the avid fly fisherman.  We will use drift boats to access some great gravel bars and productive holes where the Steelhead lay and help you with tequniques to help you catch these beautiful fish.  October is the best month for the Salmon River.
